On Remembrance Day 2018, William Ho's veteran statue, Love, Courage, and Hope, was unveiled at the Richmond Hill Cenotaph. The life-sized bronze statue pays tribute to the men and women of Canada who served in the World Wars and in Canadian peacekeeping missions. Part of the memorial event, which marked the centenary of the end of WWI, included a march of cadets, speeches by officers, and the laying of wreaths. At the special press conference and Grand Unveiling of One Heart Beat (OHB) art piece at the Toronto City Hall, Mayor John Tory announced that the City of Toronto has officially declared itself to be a One Heart Beat City and embraced the OHB vision, passion, mission, and action. Mayor Tory and Councillor Chin Lee, on behalf of the City of Toronto, officially installed the OHB art piece at the Toronto City Hall. Mayor Tory, Councillor Lee, and Goodwill Ambassador and Founder of OHB William Ho delivered their speeches at this special OHB ceremony.

2017

On Canada Day, Goodwill Ambassador William Ho of One Heart Beat Around the World (OHB) welcomed the City of Toronto as the newest OHB City. On behalf of the city, Toronto Mayor John Tory embraced the OHB passion and vision and received the OHB art piece. Members of Parliament and other government representatives witnessed and celebrated this historic moment and different print, radio, and television media attended and covered this OHB event. The York Region and the Town of Richmond Hill are also OHB Region and City, respectively, in Canada. 

2017

During the historic Canada 150 celebrations, Goodwill Ambassador William Ho unveiled the Chinese lyrics of our national anthem, “O Canada,” to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Canada.  Members of Parliament and representatives of the City of Toronto and other cities supported and celebrated this historic moment. This Chinese version of “O Canada” means that the anthem can now be sung in Mandarin, Cantonese, and other Chinese dialects.  Many print, radio, and television media attended and covered this historic event.

William Ho has been invited to be a contributor on art and culture on one of the most important think tank websites in China, Cai Jing, sharing with other colleagues, including Nobel Prize Winners and other prominent thinkers.

Mr. Ho was invited to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper at his office in Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The Prime Minister has embraced the One Heart Beat passion, message, and art for Canada by collecting the One Heart Beat art piece.

September 2014

Invited by the Chinese government, Mr. Ho had his solo exhibition at one of the top nine national galleries of China, Guan Shanyue Art Museum, in Shenzhen, a city with a population of 17 million people. This is the opening ceremony of the exhibition from October-November 2014. In attendance were special guests from the government and art authorities of China. The only core art and culture magazine of the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, the Cultural Monthly, had Mr. Ho as the cover featured artist with a seven-page interview. National and local TV statrions covered the event.

May 2013

By special invitation, our Principal Artist, William Ho, was invited to exhibit his paintings at the prestigious Louvre Museum in Paris, France in 2013.  Mr. Ho was awarded by the French National Society of Art at the Louvre for his artistic achievement and contribution to the world. 

Also, the Chairman of the French National Society of Art, on behalf of the Society, received Mr. Ho's painting into their collection. 

September 2013

Mr. Ho was invited by the Town of Richmond Hill to design the largest outdoor sculpture of the city, which was erected at the Richmond Hill Centre for Performing Arts on Yonge Street, in the core arts and culture area of the city.

William Ho was featured on the cover of Cultural Monthly magazine, the only core national magazine of art and culture by the Ministry of Culture of China. Inside is a seven-page interview with the artist. The issue was launched nation-wide in September 2014.

The York Region and its eight cities installed the One Heart Beat art piece at the York Region Headquarters, symbolizing their embracement of the OHB passion and vision. Welcome, York Region, to the OHB Global Family!

William Ho's famous One Heart Beat appeared at the World Expo in Shanghai, where the One Heart Beat passion and movement were embraced.

Mr. William Ho was invited by the Chinese government to have his solo art exhibition in one of the largest cities in China: Shenzhen. The art exhibition was a great success. The entire local government hosted the opening ceremony for Mr. Ho’s exhibition. Many people came and different TV stations covered the event.

The local government of Shenzhen BaoAn Region, which has about the same population size as the province of Quebec, also became the first One Heart Beat (OHB) City in China and welcomed the One Heart Beat art piece as a symbol of the OHB City.

William Ho received the Best Community Service Award at the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs 2012 Awards Gala on April 14.

Mr. William Ho and The ONE Gallery were invited to partner with one of the largest foundations for the elderly in Canada: the Mon Sheong Foundation (MSF). In November, a limited print of Mr. Ho's art creation "One Heart Beat" was live auctioned at the MSF Annual Cathay Ball at the Metro-Toronto Convention Centre. Over one thousand guests attended and listened to Mr. Ho share the OHB passion, message and art with them.

William Ho was invited to celebrate Chinese New Year 2012 with CTV on Wednesday, January 18. He also appeared on Rogers TV on January 23, 2012.

William Ho was invited by national agents Canada Blood Services (CBS) to create a One Heart Beat art piece with the CBS logo in Toronto and Vancouver. This was part of the national campaign of CBS to encourage Canadians to donate blood to save lives, which echoes the mandate of the One Heart Beat Around the World movement. These events took place in May and June 2011.

2010

Mayor Dave Barrow of the Town of Richmond Hill and Mr. William Ho unveiled the One Heart Beat art piece at the Chamber of Council of the Town of Richmond Hill, which is now a One Heart Beat City.

The One Heart Beat speech, "Reclaiming our Passionate Hearts and rediscovering our Creative Minds", and art show by William Ho was held at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts in 2010. Hundreds of people were in attendance.

The ONE Gallery officially opened in June 2010. Recognition was given by the Town of Markham through Mayor Frank Scarpitti and Deputy Mayor Jack Heath, along with other guests of honour such as Queen Nana Sika of Ghana, to William Ho, the Principal Artist of The ONE Gallery.

William Ho's art book, A Journey from the Heart to the World, was launched worldwide by the United Nations at the UN Bookstore in New York.

William Ho with the international recipients of the Inter-governmental Renewable Energy Organization (IREO) Award, designed by William Ho, at the ceremony held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Recipients included the Prince of Jordan,  a research team from MIT, and a Canadian biofuel company.

William Ho was invited to be the Key Featured Artist at the 2008 Toronto Art Expo. Tens of thousands of art lovers were in attendance.

2006

The installation of Mr. Ho's One Heart Beat art piece at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The UN became a Global Partner of the One Heart Beat around the World movement.

The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon welcomed William Ho, the Founder and Goodwill Ambassador of One Heart Beat and Principal Artist of The One Gallery, and received his art creation, the One Heart Beat Award, for the world at the UN Headquarters in Geneva.
