The One Gallery Love and hope, Chinese art and painting, sculpture, William Ho, One Heart Beat, United Nations, MDG, Goodwill Ambassador, 139 Main Street, Unionville, Markham, Ontario, Canada
The heavenly light of hope strikes through the rocks and mountains, which symbolize the sorrow and hopelessness of suffering children around the world. It touches the hearts of these lovely and lonely children of the world. The royal colors of gold and purple symbolize that they are precious and that they will be loved and never forgotten. Hope is symbolized by the light striking through the darkness of the world. Love is expressed through the vibrant gold and the passionate purple....
In eternity, from no beginning to no ending, there is the heart beat of life. One Heart Beat, your heart beat, my heart beat, the common One Heart Beat of the whole of humanity. This One Heart Beat that all humanity shares has been demonstrated by a single stroke in Chinese ink symbolizing the simple truth. We are one Global Family, interconnected by One Heart Beat. If any of our children in the world, in China, Africa, America, India or Canada, are hurting, we all hurt; if any children suffer, we all suffer; if any child dies, part of us dies too. All children are our children....
It is the rainbow after the storm. The covenant of hope between us and God keeps us going, pointing to a beautiful eternal destination, even when we face our greatest challenges. However, Hope comes with principle and creativity. Right is light and wrong is dark. Light is light and dark is dark. The timeless principles can not be compromised; otherwise the storm and sins will never stop. A rainbow is colourful. Colour is brilliant. The many ways to deliver the timeless principle can be creative; otherwise the rainbow and hope will never come.

One day, I was painting a landscape with a light shining on it. While I was engrossed in creating this work, my daughter asked me if I was painting the globe since the painting looked like a map of the world, but twisted and distorted. Then came the realization that, by divine inspiration, I was painting the reality of our distorted and wounded world without even being aware of it. The suffering of the world has always been deep in my mind. However, it is always important for all of us to continue to view the world with hope and to see a world of light and love.
From the heart: Lotus flowers grow from the swamp, an undesirable environment which we all try to avoid. But lotus flowers grow and stand tall with unquestionable dignity and beauty as they retain their pure hearts. To the World: In this wounded world, hundreds of millions of children and people suffer from AIDS. Pure hearts rise from extremely challenging situations, but they prevail, not only in surviving, but also in brightening the world with their beautiful lives. However, someone gave them a helping hand along the way. Will you offer a helping hand?

Grapes, in many cultures, symbolize wealth and abundance. Its beautiful look and sweetness has attracted many people. When it has gone through its own amazing journey, it can be transformed into beautiful wine, which further adds to its own legacy. In these beautiful paintings, each grape was finished in two strokes. And those strokes further manifested the pure and simplistic nature of the grape. Simple lives often lead to abundant lives.

The harmonious life of man and nature.
In this world of discouragement, distrust and disrespect, ideals may give us disappointment. But with no ideal, there is no hope at all. These flowing flowers in the sky are so beautiful that they are too good to be true. The ideal of a better world with more Love and Hope may also be too good to be true. May we connect this ideal to our One Heart Beat, so that the ideal will not be dead as long as our heart beat is still alive. There is always Hope when you put Love into simple action.
The sister piece is installed at the Museum of Nature in Ottawa at the request of the then Minister of Canadian Heritage.
